TailgateNinjas ("we," "us") runs free college football and NFL prediction games. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Reach us through the contact form.
Account info. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address to create your account.
Your activity. The picks, brackets, survivor selections, and leagues you create or join.
Email signups. If you join our list, we store your email address to send the weekly update.
Basic technical data. Standard server logs (e.g., IP address, browser type) used to operate and secure the site.
Notifications. If you turn on notifications, your browser gives us a subscription — an address for that browser plus the keys needed to encrypt a message to it. We store it against your account so we can send you a deadline reminder. It identifies a browser, not a person, and it carries nothing about you.
Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages get used. It tells us how many people read a page, not who they are.
To run the games and leaderboards, keep you signed in, show your standings, send the weekly email if you've opted in, send a notification before a pick deadline if you've turned those on, measure which pages get used, and keep the site working and secure. We do not sell your personal information.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and a cookie to remember your favourite teams on this device. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure how pages are used. We don't use any of them to track you across other websites, and we don't run advertising cookies.
We share limited data with the vendors that power the site: Google (sign-in and Analytics), Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Resend (email delivery). They process data on our behalf and aren't permitted to use it for their own purposes. Sending a notification also involves the push service your own browser chose — Apple, Google or Mozilla — which relays the message to your device.
Email. Every weekly email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out anytime.
Notifications. Off unless you turn them on, per browser, and you can turn them off at any time from the notifications page or in your browser's settings. Turning them off deletes the subscription — there is no separate list you stay on.
Your account & data. You can delete your account yourself, from your account page. It removes your account, your picks, your survivor entries, your league memberships and your notification subscriptions. It cannot be undone. You can also email us and we'll take care of it.
We keep your account and activity while your account is active. Deleting your account removes it and the data listed above. A notification subscription is also removed automatically once the push service tells us the browser is gone — uninstalled, or site data cleared. Server logs age out on our host's ordinary schedule.
TailgateNinjas is intended for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the date above when we do; significant changes will be noted on the site.
